Jo Whitfield CBE was born on 21 December 1968, is the chief executive officer (CEO) of Matalan. She was born in St Helens, then in Lancashire. A qualified accountant, Jo’s career began with Ernst & Young, before broadening her experience in finance with companies such as Northern Foods, Matalan and Asda.
